Following the conclusion of the ICNT 2025/26 season, the ICNT Orchestra returns to the Waldensian Church in Piazza Cavour, Rome, on Friday, July 3, for a special concert devoted to Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.

The event is the result of a collaboration between Festival Federico Cesi – Musica Urbis, Civica Scuola delle Arti, Fabrica Harmonica APS-ETS, Cantoria Nova Romana, Orchestra Internazionale di Roma and the ICNT Orchestra, bringing together musicians and singers from different backgrounds in a shared artistic project.

The programme features two masterpieces that belong to different genres yet complement each other remarkably well:

  • Symphony No.36 in C major K.425 “Linz”
  • Coronation Mass K.317

Performers:

Annalisa Pellegrini, soprano
Elisabetta Pallucchi, alto
Roberto Mattioni, tenor
Antonio Trippetti, bass

Cantoria Nova Romana
conducted by Annalisa Pellegrini

Orchestra Internazionale di Roma
ICNT Orchestra

Daniele Camiz, conductor

The original idea behind the programme was simply to pair two works that could be performed with essentially the same orchestra. As rehearsals progressed, however, a deeper connection became apparent.

The “Linz” Symphony and the Coronation Mass share remarkable clarity, balance and a distinctive sense of light that makes their pairing feel both natural and compelling.

The result is a programme in which symphonic and sacred music meet effortlessly, allowing Mozart himself to provide the thread that unites the entire evening.
